Silver Lake One-Bulb
This is a residential-neighborhood streetlight manufactured by the Marbelite Corporation (this is a model 1100), starting in the 1920s. These can be seen all over Los Angeles - this particular one is in Silver Lake, but similar lampposts are in Windsor Square, Valley Village, Hancock Park, and more.
Highland Corridor Lantern
These lampposts run the length of Highland Ave. from approximately Fountain Ave. down to Melrose Ave. They’re manufactured by the Union Metal Corporation.
Larchmont Dual
Officially known as the Marbelite 2500 (the manufacturer and model number), this is a concrete double-lamp that was originally installed in the mid-1920s. It was considered a “boulevard” street light; this one still stands in Larchmont Village (you’ll notice a dark gap just underneath the two scrolls - this originally held a plaque with the initials “LB”, now lost to time). It’s flanked across the street by another Marbelite dual-lantern streetlight of a slightly different design. After 100 years, things break, and parts need to be scavenged.
